T**he Ledger live desktop** most recent desktop release, version 4.26.0, is primarily a maintenance and stability update, but it addresses a frustrating failure mode. A stored token cache is now restored immediately on startup without waiting for the CAL (crypto asset list) service to respond. Previously, if CAL hung, desktop and mobile could remain stuck on the loading screen indefinitely. Under the new behavior, tokens are restored from cache, the hash is verified in the background, and each CAL request attempt times out after thirty seconds rather than blocking account synchronization.

Additional fixes in 4.26.0 include a correction so that confirming "Remove account" on desktop deletes the account and returns to the previous screen, and an adjustment so the device list opens when My Ledger sets up an unseeded Nano. The release also includes numerous dependency updates and internal refactoring around the Lumen design system, which affects icon naming and component imports but should not alter the visible user experience.
